The Insect Discovery Center is being created to transform how people see, understand, and appreciate insects. Through immersive exhibits, live insect encounters, hands-on learning, and community-driven experiences, we want to show the world the extraordinary diversity, adaptations, and ecological importance of some of the most overlooked animals on Earth. We believe a discovery center should be more than a place to visit, it should be a place to participate, ask questions, share ideas, and contribute to something bigger. That's why we're committed to involving our local communities in the creation of the center through community input, collaborative projects, volunteer opportunities, and local partnerships. From weekly activities and hands-on workshops to rotating exhibits, school and homeschool programs, adult nights, family events, and special presentations, we offer experiences for all ages and backgrounds, welcoming lifelong insect enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike.

Our mission extends beyond the museum walls: through research partnerships, citizen science, education, and conservation initiatives, we can turn curiosity into meaningful action, challenge misconceptions, and inspire a deeper appreciation for the essential roles insects play in ecosystems around the world.

The Insect Discovery Center is a place to look closer, think differently, and discover just how extraordinary the small things can be.
